MUSLIMS CONTINUE TO STRUGGLE AGAINST PUPPET TANZANIAN REGIME AS ANNIVERSARY OF THE DAR ES SALAAM US EMBASSEY BOMBING DAWNS

Press Release 3rd August 1999.

The brutal dictatorial regime in Tanzania arrested over 100 Muslims, including many women, on Friday 30th July who took part in a demonstration in the capital, Dar es Salaam to demand their divine right to wear Islamic dress. Not surprisingly however the fascist Tanzanian police used teargas, batons and police dogs to break up the demonstration organised by the Committee for the Defence of Muslim Rights.

Muslims also demanded that they be allowed to work only half a day on Fridays in order to fulfil another Islamic obligation of congretional prayer. Tanzania is the leading Muslim nation in East Africa where Islam has been in existence since the eighth century. During the Othmani Khilafah, the spread of Islam intensified (Christianity only being introduced into the country during the 18th Century by professional missionaries.) After World War I, when the British took control over Tanganyika from the Germans (as Tanzania was then known) the growth of Islam decreased and the oppression of man made law intensified.

Muslims were gradually alienated from the administration and the political scene and the Islamophobic church and state provided education to African Christians whilst denying it to the majority Muslims. From the time around World War II the influence of reformist and anti-colonial Islamic movements increased, and during the 1950's Pakistani Muslim preachers regularly visited eastern and southern Africa to promote Islamic revival and political consciousness among Muslims.

Like many African countries Tanzania is today experiencing an Islamic revival which promises to rid its country of all profane, evil man made governments and institutions to be replaced by a ruling system based on the command of God as opposed to the whims and desires of man. Hence the current political struggle against oppression by Islam and Muslims is the continuity of a long history of struggle against man made rule and the doctrine of "Render unto Caesar the things which are Caesar’s and unto God the things that are God’s" propagated by successive secular Tanzanian regimes.

It is merely a matter of time before the fallacy of democracy (where everyone is promised freedom and yet in reality Muslims are denied fundamental divine rights, such as the wearing of Islamic dress) leads to the destruction of the present government and its replacement by an Islamic state once again. An Islamic State where everyone's life, wealth, belief, honour and mind are protected whether Muslim or non-Muslim and where the provision of basic needs such as education, food, clothing and shelter is not a luxury for the few but the divine right of all citizens and an obligation on the State to provide free of charge.

O Muslims, the Messenger Muhammad (saw) said that: " The Muslim are one Ummah (i.e. Nation) unique from all others, their land is one, their war is one, their peace is one and their honour is one and any one of them can represent them" and He (saw) also said: "Whoever wakes up without caring about the affairs of the Muslims is not one of us" Hence the suffering of the Muslims in Tanzania is our suffering and their struggle our struggle. O Muslims, as an Ummah we are over one and a quarter billion Muslims strong with unparalleled wealth and resources and we have been promised victory if we just fulfill the commands of Allah (swt) trusting in only him for our success.

The Western governments led by the US know that their military, economic and strategic interests are at stake if they allow the Muslims to unite again under one leadership (i.e. Al-Khilafah) so they keep us divided and oppressed under their puppet leaders in our countries planning our misery from their embassies. How much more humiliation are we going to take before we realise that it is only through the implementation of Islam that we will once again achieve success? How many more of our sisters are to be dishonoured by being forced to parade naked before we wake up to the reality of the corruption and hegemony of man made law and our obligation to eradicate it ?

O Muslims, Allah (swt) created us only to worship him alone so let us rid ourselves from the shackles of democracy and secularism and the worship of these false gods once and for all and work together for the implementation of the Khilafah and the domination of Islam world wide which has been promised to this blessed Ummah and is therefore inevitable Insa'Allah. Let not the struggle launched by the mujahideen last year against the US occupiers have been in vain… May Allah (swt) protect us all from the evil conspiracies of the Kuffar and guide us all to the truth and justice of Islam.
